We are in urgent need of a new canasta player to continue this fun community activity.  If you know how to play canasta, please call me A.S.A.P.  IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO PLAY CANASTA, please call Karen at 270-422-4437 as well.  If you are not in our phone base, please leave a message on our answering machine and we will call you back.

Thur  Nov   2        Ladies’ 1st & 3rd Canasta at Home Plate. Hostess is Karen Hofmann.

Thur  Nov   8        Derby Dinner Playhouse, “A MURDER TO BE ANNOUNCED”.   Your $32 ticket price includes a $2 gratuity per person AND your buffet. 

Thur  Nov   9        Hand & Foot Cards  at Little Dave’s.  Hostess is Karen Hofmann. 

Fri     Nov   10      Today is the day to set up for the Saturday, Nov. 11th  Homemakers Holiday Bazaar.  Debbie  has enough help for today.

Sat     Nov  11      Meade County  BAZAAR  at the Farm Bureau Bldg from  9a.m. to 3 p.m.  Doe Valley Homemakers Club still has vacancies available in booth work.   Karen Keene will be working the booth all day Saturday.

Sun    Nov   12      Fishing & Boating Club has their last meeting of 2017. Board Meeting at 1:00 p.m. followed by 1:30 p.m.  Membership meeting.  Today, we have two 50/50 Raffles - the first, for today  and the 2nd for the 50/50 year long Raffle.  This raffle combines the 50% that has been kept  for the year .  They do not need to be present to win. If the winner is at the meeting great,  but if not, then we call them and make arrangements for them to pick up their winnings.  We hope we have lots of members at the meeting.

Thur  Nov   16      Ladies Bunco at Doe Valley 19th Hole. Hostess is Stella Godbey.


Fri        Dec.     1          Derby Dinner Playhouse presents “A  Christmas Carol” the musical.  A spectacular Broadway Musical “Adaptation“ of Charles Dickens most well-known story of a middle aged couple as they breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale.  A lavish and thrilling holiday musical that is perfect for the holiday season.
