Sat          Apr         1              Fishing & Boating Club’s first Fish Contest of 2017 from Marina 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Members fee is $3 and guests of members $5 with members.

Sun         Apr         2              Fishing & Boating Club’s  Board meeting begins at 1 p.m. followed by membership meeting at 1:30 p.m.   The membership meeting is open to everyone and if  you decide you want to be a member, dues are $10  each.

Weds     Apr        5              Derby Dinner Playhouse, “The Addam’s Family”.

Thurs Apr             6              Ladies 1st  Thursday Canasta at El Caminos. Lunch is at 11:30 and game begins at 12:30. Hostess is Barbara Jones

Thurs Apr 13                        Hand & Foot Card Game at Little Daves. Lunch is at 11:30 and game begins at 12:30. Hostesses are Karen Hofmann and Barbara Jones

Sat          Apr         15            Fishing & Boating Club’s Lake Clean Up. The F &B Club pays for the food.  Bill and Karen Hofmann are in charge of the free lunch.  Workers meet at the Marina a bit before 10 a.m.  Yum Yum Donuts and coffee will be at Marina by 9:30 a.m.  President, Carl Lambert will give each boat with workers, an area to clean up.  When you have finished, meet at the Chuckwagon above the Marina for free lunch and beverages.  We’ll have Bill’s chili there by 11:30 a. m.  I will need three ladies to help set up everything by 10:30 a.m.  At least one of the ladies  will need to be a driver. We’ll try to call everyone but if we don’t call  you, call - Karen 270-422-4437 or  Carl Lambert at 270-422-5204 .  Non  members are definitely invited to help and we encourage everyone to come help and help eat too.  At our meeting today, we brought  up changing our club by-laws to bring them up to date as they are about 20 years old.  Copies of our current by-laws will be available at the front desk if you wish to give them a once over.  Remember that  we are a non profit club, not an association so we are only doing any changes that the club feels need to be changed.  Then come to the April meeting so we can get started thinking about doing some changes.

Weds Apr  19                       Doe Valley Homemaker’s Club meets at the Extension Office at 10 a.m. and we are always done by noon or before.  We welcome everyone.  Our hostesses for this meeting are Phylis Clark and Stella Godbey.  Devotional by Vicki Hodge and lesson by Stella Godbey.  It promises to be an exciting meeting.  Remember that although we call ourselves Doe Valley Homemakers many of our members come from Brandenburg, etc.  We try to help our community monthly such as helping the Ministerial Association by collecting food and clothing for those in need, we deliver a meal or other types of thank you acknowledgements.  

Thurs  April   20   Ladies  3rd Thursday Canasta at the 19th Hole Doe Valley. Hostess is Valli Ganci

Weds     Apr        26            If you want to attend “Sister Act” at Derby Dinner Playhouse on May 24th - it’s a matinee with lunch, your fee of  $31 pp and your reservation must be paid today.  I have already been contacted by Derby Dinner as they have a “full house” for the play that day so I have added a week extra , in case I can help Derby Dinner if  I am not full.  So, call me early. If you know you won’t need tickets and also if you know you will need tickets.

Thurs     Apr         27            Ladies 4th Thursday Bunco at Mr. Gatti’s.  Hostess is Barbara Jones
