Sun        3              F & B Boat Cruise time is tentatively set for 6pm - 8pm.  If it turns cool, then I will change to  3pm to 6 p.m.   As usual, everyone  brings a  covered side dish to serve 10-12 people; your own eating utensils including plate, plastic dinnerware, napkins, your beverages and a spoon serve your side dish.  If the weather is still good for swimming, wear a suit and bring a towel  If you do not have a pontoon boat of  your own, call  Karen at 270-422-4437 and she will try to find a boat with available room.                     

Thurs    7              Thurs 1st Canasta at El Caminos. Hostess is Karen Hofmann.

Sat          9              Fishing & Boating Club is having an All Member Fishing Contest from 7 am until 2 pm.  Members pay $3.00 &  Guests with Member pay $5.00.

Sun        10           Fishing & Boating Club is having our Annual Fish Fry at 3pm, East Beach Pavilion.  Our President, Carl Lambert  is supplying all the fish - caught by Carl.  

Weds     13           Your $32 fee for your Derby Dinner Playhouse, “Southern Fried Nuptials” is due to Karen at 270-422-4437.  This is a  Lunch Matinee Play.  The buffet is great.  Your $32 ticket also pays for the buffet and includes payment of the buffet and includes payment of $2 per person for your gratuity.  If you purchase a soft drink or dessert, then you pay the extra gratuity.   I need to turn in all  my paid seats by August 30, 2017.  Call Karen  270- 422-4437.

Thurs  14             Hand & Foot game at Little Daves.   Karen will call and Barb will handle the game.

Wed     20              Doe Valley Homemakers’ has their 1st meeting on Sept. 20, 2017.  We meet at the Meade County Extension office at 810 Old Ekron Road at 10 a.m. and are usually finished by noon.  We are looking forward to the 2017/18 year.  We welcome new ladies and men to come as a visitor and hope they return as new members.  Our Homemakers’ club consists of members from Doe Valley but also from Brandenburg and surrounding area.  We enjoy the Bazaar in November and attend craft meetings for those interested.  Each month a new lesson is taught by our members.  This September 20th, President Debbie Canavera and Gerry Furlough, her mom, will do a lesson “Probiotics”.  They also are hostesses and will provide the food and beverages.
